In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

My passion is storytelling and when I chose Miami as my home away from home almost 10 years ago I knew the city and its diverse population had amazing stories to tell and ideas worth spreading. Super excited to be part of this amazing group and be able to raise awareness of themes so dear to the city like culture, architecture, art and technology and happy to give back to this wonderful community.

For the last two decades, I have been leading programs combatting human trafficking, accelerating civic technology, and empowering people with mindfulness in Miami. There is nowhere in the world like Miami. Born and raised here, this vibrant metropolis with a lush, tropical landscape lives in my heart. Thanks to innovation, community initiatives and leadership from the most unusual places, we’re recognized as one of the fastest growing cities and we continue to evolve as a diverse, cultural population attracting people from all over the world. Surrounded by unique perspectives and exposed to a globally conscious community, Miami has become a living, breathing thinktank igniting big conversations. With my almost 20 years of PR experience and through TEDxMiami’s initiatives, I hope to continue supporting the community’s voices that represent important topics like climate change, equal opportunity, affordable housing, advancement of technology, and beyond.

As a lover of learning, expansion and potential, I strive to create connections with people and their dreams. Whether it be business growth or creating a vibrant brand, my mission is to help people be, so they can create and thus inspire. A Miamian of over 30 years, the city's lush tropical vibe and the cultural mesh helps to cement my desire for union and connection. I'm here to help TEDxMiami grow their exposure and create more awareness in how we grow as a whole.
Allan Nudelman, TEDxMiami Licensee: I am on a mission to elevate Miami by bringing together the best ideas. I have a passion for building teams and hosting audiences, and I believe Miami’s diverse culture makes it an ideal city for innovative thought.
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives. The two annual TED Conferences invite the world's leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes or less.
Many of these talks are then made available, free, at TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sal Khan and Daniel Kahneman.
The annual TED Conference takes place each spring in Vancouver, British Columbia. TED's media initiatives include TED.com, where new TED Talks are posted daily; TED Translators, which provides subtitles and interactive transcripts as well as translations from volunteers worldwide; the educational initiative TED-Ed. TED has established The Audacious Project that takes a collaborative approach to funding ideas with the potential to create change at thrilling scale; TEDx, which supports individuals or groups in hosting local, self- organized TED-style events around the world, and the TED Fellows program, helping world-changing innovators from around the globe to amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities.
